Our compassionate staff of Behavioral Health Professionals listen to patients and develop relationships built on mutual trust. Behavioral health services are a collaborative effort between the healthcare professional and patient.

Children

PanCare offers behavioral health services for children 3 years of age and older. Behaviors that are usually the catalyst to seeking therapy are inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. Every effort is made to engage the parent or guardian in family therapy.

Adolescents

Behaviors that are usually the catalyst to seeking therapy are poor school performance, skipping school, lying and stealing, smoking, drinking, or drug use, frequent arguments, and hostility towards authority figures. Every effort is made to engage the parent or guardian in family therapy.

Adults

Usually, life circumstances are the catalyst for seeking therapy. 
Examples are: family problems, divorce, loss of parent, job problems, and financial problems.

Elderly

Examples are: loss of physical or mental abilities, chronic illnesses, retirement, loss of spouse, and loss of significant others.

Medication Management

This can often be a key component in an effective treatment plan. Medication management is available through the patient’s primary care provider.  There is also a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner on staff.  For more complicated psychiatric medication management patients are referred to a local psychiatrist.

Cultural Competency Services

Provided by making every effort to be sensitive to the individual’s different cultural backgrounds and values. Culturally and linguistically competent behavioral health services will be provided.
